Browsing the main Vogtov site does not require an account. Vogtov does not currently run its own analytics, advertising, or marketing trackers on this site. If you create a Vogtov account, the account service uses the information needed to create, secure, and manage that identity.

Website visits
Vogtov is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. When you request a page, Cloudflare may process technical traffic information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser or system information, and security signals. This is necessary to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep it available. Vogtov does not add analytics cookies or advertising trackers to the current site.
Account information
If you create an account, Vogtov asks for a display name, email address, and password. Google Firebase Authentication processes the password and stores the account identity. Vogtov does not receive or store a readable copy of your password.
Firebase also assigns a user identifier and processes technical information such as IP addresses and user-agent strings to provide authentication, security, and abuse prevention. Email verification and password-reset messages are sent through Firebase Authentication.
The current account release stores only this authentication identity. The points, followed-worlds, and revival features shown as future account features do not yet store platform activity.
Browser storage
Firebase Authentication uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in. If you select Keep me signed in, the session can remain on that browser after it closes. Otherwise, the session is limited to the current browser session. You can sign out at any time.
Why this information is used
- To create and provide the account you request.
- To verify email ownership, reset passwords, and secure account access.
- To deliver and protect the website and prevent misuse.
- To answer support or privacy messages you choose to send.
For users covered by European data protection law, account processing is necessary to provide the service you request. Security and abuse prevention are based on Vogtov's legitimate interests in operating a safe service. Legal obligations may apply when a request must be recorded or answered.
Service providers and international processing
Google Firebase Authentication provides identity, verification, password reset, and account-security services. Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, and security. These providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States, and use contractual safeguards where required.

Retention and deletion
Your Firebase account information remains until the account is deleted. Google states that Firebase Authentication logs IP addresses for a few weeks. After Vogtov initiates deletion of a Firebase Authentication user, Google removes the other authentication information from live and backup systems within 180 days.
You can delete your Vogtov account from the account page. This does not delete separate TUD, CHAC, Scitong, or other app accounts. See the account deletion instructions.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data, and to complain to a relevant data protection authority. Email pim@vogtov.com to make a request. Vogtov may need to verify that the account belongs to you before responding.
Children
If you are below the age at which you can agree to online services in your country, use a Vogtov account only with permission from a parent or guardian. Do not create an account if local law does not allow you to do so.
Changes
This notice will be updated before or when the website begins collecting new categories of personal data or introduces materially different account features. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
